By Train:

By Road (Car, Cab or Bike):
Taxis from Vizag cost ₹3,000–₹5,000 for a round trip. Alternatively, explore the valley by renting a bike if you’re an experienced rider and want an adventurous route. The Araku Valley distance from Vizag is approx. 115 km, and takes around 3 hours by road.

From Bangalore, fly to Visakhapatnam (non-stop flights available), and then follow the above options. Total travel time including the flight and road/train to Araku is around 6–8 hours. There is no direct train from Bangalore to Araku at present.

Araku Valley Best Time to Visit

September to February is the ideal time to explore Araku Valley when the weather is cool and skies are clear. This is also the best season for trekking, waterfall visits, and coffee plantation tours.

Avoid summer months (March to May) as temperatures soar above 40°C, making outdoor activities uncomfortable. The post-monsoon season (Oct–Nov) is perfect for visiting waterfalls like Katiki and Chaparai when the water flow is at its peak.
